1. Always remember to use a Tempera WATERBASED paint on your foam
products. First check your paint on your foam sample before application. We recommend hand painting your design for a more professional finish.

2. When glittering your foam, always match your color paint to your glitter.  It is very important to mix ELASTISHIELD with your paint, in order to secure the glitter tightly to the foam.  ELASTISHIELD is a smooth white liquid that is only available from Design-A-Foam. Apply your glitter while the paint is wet and let dry completely. We recommend doing one side first, and let dry completely, before completing the other side.

3. Our design department will custom cut your designs, and offer free suggestions when requested.

 

Our sculptures are designed to be decorated with waterbase paint and glitter to make the sculpture come alive.  You can even combine different sculptures to create fun and unique decorations.  All Design-A-Foam sculptures can be combined using a cold glue gun which only takes a few minutes for a solid bond to form.  In order to ensure all joints are decorated, sculptures should be assembled  before decorating. We also offer  TEMPERA water based paints and glitter, for an additional charge, that will help you obtain the professional results you desire.
